Talented young performers across the county are getting ready to entertain audiences with a packed programme of festival fun.

The Young Norfolk Arts Festival is returning for its second year on June 27, and the 10-day celebration of young people and the arts is offering a great array of entertainment for all. An eclectic mix of music features in the line-up alongside Shakespeare in Norwich Cathedral cloister, an array of YNAF events for Norwich's Lord Mayor's Celebrations, an emerging artists showcase at Holkham Hall in north Norfolk, and lots more.

Steffan Griffiths, Young Norfolk Arts Festival committee chairman, said: 'We are delighted that this second festival is offering even more opportunities for young people in even more art forms. We have been overwhelmed by the take up from schools for the various outreach projects and workshops.

'In addition we are excited that so many of the city and county's leading venues are participating - we have a performance at Holkham Hall, a musical picnic at Elsing Hall, and we are using Norwich Cathedral's cloister, the Theatre Royal, Norwich Puppet Theatre and many other venues. There's a real sense of Norfolk getting behind this festival for young people.'

He said the festival's aim was to be a multi-arts platform for young people across the county, and he encouraged everyone to enjoy the festival.

'Come along and see what great things the young people of Norfolk are capable of!' he said.

• The festival runs from Friday, June 27 to Sunday, July 6. For more visit www.ynaf.org.uk, follow @YN_AF on Twitter, or pick up a Young Norfolk Arts Festival brochure.
