A team of cyclists from a North Norfolk church has completed a 256-mile ride and raised £1000 for a school in Uganda.
Members of Lighthouse Community Church in Cromer Road, Sheringham rode from Prestatyn in North Wales back to Norfolk.
It was organised by Reed People, a charity based at and supported by the church, which is working to improve and develop a primary school in the village of Lumpewe in Uganda.
The team finished the final few miles on Sunday, April 15, arriving back to rapturous applause from the congregation waiting in the car park.
Matthew Mutton, the youngest rider, said 'The best bit was the brilliant teamwork. We all worked together as one team.'
The church has been supporting the school and associated church in Lumpewe since 2013, building classrooms, laying floors, installing safe electricity, and providing a water supply, equipment and training.
