NHS nurses and therapists in Thetford are digging deep to share some Christmas cheer and deliver presents to vulnerable patients.
The team from Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust (NCH&C) will be visiting housebound patients over the festive period to deliver services.
With many patients spending Christmas alone, staff decided to raise funds and approached local shops in order to deliver gifts to 12 patients.
The deliveries will be made today and tomorrow, with staff also stopping off to keep the patients company.
Team Lead Sarah Goddard said: “Our team build up a good relationship with their patients when visiting to provide their care and rehabilitation.
“No one likes to be on their own at this time of year, so we decided to buy small gifts to take with us to show them that we are thinking of them.
“We thought it was the least we could do to bring a bit of Christmas cheer to them and help brighten their day.”
