There is now no excuse for people living in Thorpe St Andrew to be unfit, after eight pieces of fitness equipment were installed at its recreation grounds in Laundry Lane and Pound Lane.
Thorpe St Andrew Town Council has installed four pieces of equipment in each of the parks and will also be installing automatic access barriers for the two sites later this month.
Town mayor John Ward said: “The rowing machine and stepper have proved very popular with users. The council were keen to provide outdoor fitness equipment that could be used by residents young and old.
“The town council negotiated a really keen price from SMP Play Equipment and are delighted with the quality and versatility of the equipment.”
