A north Suffolk church has received a boost following an investment in new heating from a local company.
Churchill Catering, in Rickinghall, have funded the £10,000 cost of installing the new heating system for the church at Thelnetham, near Diss, and the installation is nearing completion.
To mark the completion of the work at St Nicholas Church, the church will be hosting a pantomime production of Sleeping Beauty at the weekend.
Tony Nicholl, of Churchill Catering, said: “It’s a shame that beautiful buildings like Thelnetham Church seem to be last in line when it comes to local funding. Well, this is no longer the case for this church. My company has ‘adopted’ this historic building and our next project will see the addition of running water, a toilet and kitchen and this will enable the church to improve its revenue by becoming more multi-functional.”
Sleeping Beauty is being performed by a professional group which includes the sets, lighting and music on Saturday, December 15 at 3pm.
This is a free event and seats are still available. To make a reservation email email@example.com
