Plans have been put forward to demolish an old tourist information centre building to allow for a bus station to expand.

The proposals by Norfolk County Council, concerning the building on the site of Cromer bus station, have been submitted to North Norfolk District Council.

In the application form it states that the flat roofed steel framed building, is in a “poor state of repair and no longer required for bus station use or as a TIC.”

It also states that its removal will allow for the future expansion of the bus station.

The bus station, on Prince of Wales Road, re-opened in August last year, after closing in 2006 amid many protests.
