NEW housing plans have been re-submitted which could see almost 90 new homes created on a redundant former factory site in Loddon.
Taylor Wimpey has re-submitted proposals for new-build private homes on the former Express Plastics site, which has relocated to a new purpose-built factory at Ellough, near Beccles.
The latest application has seen a reduction of the number of houses intended for the site from 112 to 87, varying from two to five bedroom properties.
The plans also include plans for associated parking, garages, open space and landscaping
Previous plans were unanimously refused in December 2009 and August last year by members of South Norfolk Council's planning committee.
They were recommended to refuse the proposal on a number of grounds including that the application did not involve the building of any affordable housing and that the site was too car dominant.
