A new community bus service serving two coastal towns is on the road following the arrival of a new 14-seater minibus.

North Norfolk Community Transport (NNCT) has launched the Coastal Connections service which will operate between Sheringham and Cromer and the surrounding areas where no other bus routes are available.

The door to door dial-a-ride service will be available to all sections of the community who have no access to transport, including pensioners, people with disabilities, young people and the rurally isolated.

The new wheelchair accessible vehicle will also be available for hire to local not for profit organisations and will allow people to carry out important tasks including attending medical appointments, shopping, paying bills and taking part in community activities.

A £168,000 Big Lottery grant and a £5,000 donation from Norfolk County Council was used to fund the route.
