A new presenter has been announced for BBC Radio Norfolk's breakfast show.

Nicky Price will be the new presenter of the station's breakfast show from April 7 after it was announced that presenter Chris Goreham had a new role.

In her 14 years as a broadcaster, Nicky Price has presented BBC Radio Norfolk's Drivetime show and many sporting programmes including the Commonwealth Games and the Paralympics.

David Clayton, managing editor of BBC Radio Norfolk, said: 'Nicky is one of Norfolk's best-known broadcasters as she's been our voice of news and sport at Breakfast time for five years and stand-in presenter for Chris (Goreham) - so she really knows what the county needs to wake up to each day.'

'Chris will continue to be our voice of football and now takes charge of how BBC Radio Norfolk covers and reacts to the county's wide range of sporting activities as the station's Sports Editor. I know he is looking forward to some well-deserved lie-in's!'

Nicky added: ''It's a huge honour and a great responsibility to present Breakfast on BBC Radio Norfolk. Chris (Goreham) has done a superb job over the last four and a half years. It's been great fun being part of his team and he'll be a hard act to follow.

'Ever since I moved to Norfolk to study at the University of East Anglia in 1995, the county has been a very special place to live and work. The coast, the broads, the villages and the city provide a wealth of stories and features.'
