The stage is set for a special show taking place this weekend to give couples planning to tie the knot lots of ideas for their dream weddings.

The EDP Wedding Shows have, over the years, developed a well-known reputation for bringing together the best of the Norfolk wedding industry under one roof, and the latest show opens tomorrow at the Norfolk Showground.

All week the event organisers and more than 140 exhibitors have been working hard to set up the show, and this weekend they are looking forward to welcoming brides and bridegrooms-to-be, and helping them plan their special days.

Steve Maddams, from the EDP Wedding Show team, said: “The show is looking great. We have got some very exciting exhibitors and lots of really unique wedding ideas for people to come and see.

“The EDP Wedding Show at the Norfolk Showground is the only opportunity to be able to come and see more than 140 wedding businesses all under one roof here in Norfolk. It is on the same scale as shows at venues like Birmingham NEC and Earl’s Court in London - it is a national-sized show for local brides.”

More than 3,500 people are expected to attend the show which is the perfect place for you to start your wedding preparations or simply find those extra special finishing touches.

Show-goers will be able to find inspiration for everything from the most tempting of cakes to the most beautiful of bridal bouquets to the most spectacular of fireworks to finish your big day with a bang.

For brides looking for the perfect wedding dress there is also four catwalk shows each day, sponsored by Vindis Bentley, where the latest bridal fashions will be showcased alongside ideas for the bridegroom and mother-of-the-bride.

Brasted’s is also running a champagne bar and dining area at the show.

• The EDP Wedding Show is at the Norfolk Showground, just off the A47 Southern Bypass at Costessey, tomorrow from 10am until 5pm and Sunday from 10am until 4pm. Tickets, which can be bought on the door, cost £7 per person, £12 for two tickets, and £20 for a wedding party of four.
