Paston Sixth Form College’s first music event of the academic year was held last month. It was an eclectic mix of students performing pop, rock, classical and alternative music under the guise of an acoustic night. The event was held at The Hub, on the college’s Lawns Site, which served as an ideal place for an intimate and low key atmosphere and was a great place to host the event.

In total 12 acts performed to an audience made up of staff and students. With a combination of solo and group performances, the audience were treated to some outstanding music throughout the night from Paston Sixth Form College students. There were many highlights including Matt Snowden’s cover of Gangnam Style, Obeid Juma Gharib’s a capella twist of Price Tag, Emily Gray’s soulful Hey Ya and a couple of Jack Van Greuning’s feet-stomping classics. A great night was had by all who attended and the student performers highlighted the breadth and depth of musical talent at the college. The college will run another acoustic night next term, after the success of this event.
