Mundesley’s inshore lifeboat was launched just before 1pm after the struggling vessel was seen around half a mile off the continental slipway.

The crew made it to the boat within 12 minutes, which by then was two miles from the seafront. It had lost all electrical power and its one-man crew had been rowing against the wind for two hours, but had made no headway.

The lifeboat towed the fishing vessel back to shore and all involved returned safe and well.
