A mother and her eight-year-old daughter were rescued from a reef after getting cut off the incoming tide at Sea Palling.
The village’s independent lifeboat was paged by Humber Coastguard at 12.40pm today after reports of two people on a reef, and was launched seven minutes later.
The lifeboat was quickly on scene and when the pair were spotted, a crew member went into the water to help them to safety on the shore.
The coastguard then asked the crew to check on all the reefs to ensure no one else was at risk from the incoming tide.
