Philip Blow, 43, from Church Close, Coltishall, admitted speeding by post, and appeared before Norwich magistrates today for the court to consider disqualification.

The court heard that Blow was caught speeding in his Mercedes Benz Vito on the dual carriageway, which has a 70mph speed limit, just before midnight on November 27 last year.

Blow, who represented himself, said: “There’s no excuse, other than that the road was totally clear, it was a straight road, and it was late at night. I had just come back from the airport and needed to get home.”

He was fined £400 plus a £40 victim surcharge, and must pay £85 costs. His licence was also endorsed.
