A motorcyclist in his 40s was taken to hospital with serious injuries after hitting a deer on the road at East Tuddenham, near Dereham, this morning.
Roads policing officers are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened at about 6.30am on the Norwich Road and involved an orange Kawasaki motorcycle which had been travelling from the Mattishall direction.
A police spokesman said: “The male rider, aged in his 40s, sustained serious injuries after colliding with a deer in the road. He was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.”
Police want to hear from anyone who believes they may have see the motorbike prior to the accident, or anyone who saw the crash itself. They are also keen to speak to the passengers of a bus who assisted at the scene.
Witnesses are asked to contact PC Richard Godin at Swaffham Roads Policing on 101.
