A broken-down motorbike was stolen and then ditched in Gorleston.

Police in Great Yarmouth are appealing after the theft in Gorleston between 9.45am and 10.25pm on Sunday, August 26.

The victim left his broken-down Suzuki 125cc motorbike on the roadside on Middleton Road, securing it with a steering lock and going to seek assistance.

When he returned it had been taken, but was later located leaning up against a fence near to Bailiol Road, Gorleston.

It was found with the ignition barrel tampered with and the steering lock broken.
