From four-month-old youngsters, to grandparents aged more than 80, young and old joined forces for a special world record attempt in Lowestoft.
More than 100 sharp-shooting locals lined up for the world challenge event at The Ark Children’s Centre in Lowestoft on Saturday.
Taking aim, they joined more than 70 countries and between four and five million people around the globe, who were involved in an attempt to break the world record for the highest amount of people shooting basketball hoops in a day.
And in Lowestoft 119 took part in the challenge of shooting hoops between 2pm and 4pm - which mirrored the 119 countries that have YMCA’s across the world. Waveney MP Peter Aldous also took part in the event yesterday.
Event organisers now have to send away the collated information from the day, before they hear if the world record has been broken.
