Misha Glenny, the journalist and author behind BBC's hit TV show McMafia is heading to the city to share his knowledge of international crime.

During a visit to Norwich Theatre Royal on Friday May 18, the author will shed some light on the activities of the Russian mafia, giant drug cartels, corrupt intelligence agencies and the increasing threat posed by cyber-hackers.

Mr Glenny wrote McMafia, the book behind the popular Sunday night show starring James Norton, in 2008.

He is well-known for his work investigating some of the most dangerous and sophisticated crime networks around the world.

John Bultitude of Norwich Theatre Royal said: 'Misha has criss-crossed the world on the trail of some of the most technologically superior and ruthless people. His working life could form the plot of a bestselling novel or blockbuster movie in its own right.

'Don't miss the chance to find out if the truth is actually even stranger than fiction.'

Tickets for Misha Glenny at Norwich Theatre Royal cost £10-£18.50 and are on sale now via theatreroyalnorwich.co.uk
