Three men have appeared at court charged with conspiracy to steal cash from a Norfolk council.
Antony Crooks, 54, of Western Road, Gorleston, Garry Greensmith, 51, of Hall Road, Blundeston, and Darren Sweeby, 43, of Campion Avenue, Gorleston, appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court this morning.
They have each been charged with a count of conspiracy to steal cash of an unknown value belonging to Great Yarmouth Borough Council.
They stood in the dock together and confirmed their name, age and address before magistrates sent their case to the crown court.
The three are set to appear at Norwich Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, June 17.
They were released on bail with the conditions not to contact each other or any member of staff from the borough council’s parking services, with the exception of Jane Beck, one of the authority’s directors.
