Mannington Hall has been in the Walpole family since the 18th century and has been open to the public as a key tourist attraction for the last 40 years.

The hall will be open with displays showing the Walpole family's connections with Norfolk over the last five centuries.

Laura Stevens, a spokesman for the estate, said: 'Visitors will be able to enjoy the beautiful gardens, explore the many habitats of the surrounding countryside including the meadows and board walks, and visit the medieval hall which is normally only open by appointment. Refreshments will be available from The Greedy Goose tearoom.'

Norfolk's inaugural Norfolk Day, when we celebrate all that we love about our county, will take place on Friday, July 27.
