Staff at the King’s Head Hotel in Dereham are saying it is “business as usual” after its manager resigned today.

The staff at the 17th century coaching inn, on Norwich Street, will be meeting with owners Reactive Leisure Management from Wymondham tomorrow (Wednesday, January 2) to discuss the appointment of a new manager following the resignation of Elaine North.

There had been rumours around the town that the hotel was closing down but acting manager Bernie Jordache said they had plenty of bookings in the diary and were looking forward to a busy year with a wedding reception in the summer. “We will know more once we have spoken to the owners,” she said.

Their next main function is a Burns Night party on January 25.
