A man suffered serious hand injuries after becoming trapped under a car in a garage in Fakenham this afternoon.
An ambulance, rapid response vehicle and air ambulance were called to the incident just before 3pm today, although the air ambulance was later cancelled.
One crew of firefighters from Fakenham used small gear to release the man, who is believed to be in his 20s, before passing him into the care of the paramedics.
Nearly 3,000 people have supported a Facebook campaign demanding safety improvements on the A47 near Dereham set up after the latest fatal crash.

Rolf is half right, the man had a hand injury! The air ambulance should never have been called in the first place. The air ambulance is funded by us, the public and does not have unlimited funds. Being called and then cancelled is a misuse of those funds. I thought all emergency calls were graded and the appropriate help sent, a hand injury will never require the air ambulance form a garage in the middle of a town

Rolf, if it saves one life a year, surely it is worth every stand down,.....or do you disagree?

How many times is the Air Ambulance cancelled ? How much does it cost to mobilise it ? Probably won't pass the Archant Police.
