A 25-year-old Cromer man has been sentenced to a six-month community order for drug offences.

Terrance Thomas, of Connaught Road, appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ Court on April 22 for sentencing after pleading guilty to the production of a Class B drug (cannabis) and possessing cannabis.

Thomas was arrested on January 9 as part of a drugs operation which saw five raids executed at separate addresses in Cromer. During the day of action Thomas was found with three cannabis plants, a quantity of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. He was released on conditional police bail and later charged with two offences.

Inspector Kersty Brooks, who led the operation, said: “During this operation we focused on crimes that continue to cause disruption to people living in our community and I hope this reassures residents that their concerns are being listened to and acted on.”

Thomas was also ordered to attend a skills programme for 60 days and to pay a £60 victim surcharge and a £100 fine.
