Man saved from flat fire in Bungay

A man in his 60s had to be rescued from his flat in Bungay this morning after a fire.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue service was called shortly before 8am to reports of a fire at Honeypot Meadow.

The crew had to rescue the man and he was taken to the James Paget University Hospital, in Gorleston, to be treated for smoke inhalation.
