Man robbed by gang of three on old Gorleston railway footpath

Three men robbed a man on an old railway footpath in Gorleston.

The victim, in his 20s, was walking along the path towards Victoria Road when he was set upon by three men who crossed the footbridge.

It happened between 8pm and 8.30pm on Thursday, January 23.

One of the men assaulted him, another restrained him and the third took cash and a mobile phone from him.

The men then ran off over the bridge towards Lowestoft Road.

The first man is described as white, of medium build, 6ft tall with long dark brown hair and was wearing a blue tracksuit, white trainers and a scarf.

The second man is described as white, of slim build, 5ft 9ins tall and was wearing a black tracksuit and a balaclava.

The third was of a similar appearance to the second, but wore a black tracksuit, black trainers and a scarf.

Officers want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed this robbery or saw the group of males before or afterwards.
