A man was rescued from a burning house in Mildenhall this morning.

Firefighters received reports of the fire just before 7.30am.

Fire crews from Mildenhall and Newmarket were sent to tackle the blaze in College Heath Road.

The one terraced house was heavily smoke logged and one male was rescued.

The crews wore breathing apparatus and used hoses to tackle the flames. The fire was brought under control by 8am.
