A man was rescued after going into the water near Britannia Pier in Great Yarmouth.

Great Yarmouth and Gorleston’s inshore lifeboat launched at 2.35am yesterday following a call for help from police.

The man, who was in the sea close to the pier, had been recovered by police as the inshore Atlantic Seahorse IV lifeboat arrived on scene.
