Police are appealing for information following a robbery and an attempted robbery in the Pakefield area yesterday evening.
The attempted robbery happened at about 6.20pm in Blackheath woods, off Love Lane, on Wednesday, February 26.
A 15-year-old boy was walking through the woods towards Pakefield with two other boys when two men shouted at them to stop.
The men then asked the teenagers if they had any drugs and when the boys said “No” they were told to empty their pockets or they would be assaulted.
The 15-year-old refused and was then punched by one of the men, leaving him with a bloody nose, before all three teenagers ran away.
The two men were white and in their 20s to early 30s. One was stocky or chubby, more than 6ft tall and unshaven. The other was slim, about 5ft 10ins tall, and wearing a grey hooded top.
The second incident - a robbery - occurred on a public footpath at Stradbroke Road at about 9.35pm.
A 47-year-old man was heading to a friend’s house and was about to use the footpath leading towards Silverwood Close when he noticed two men standing just at the entrance to the path.
The 47-year-old was then confronted by the men who assaulted him and demanded money from him. No money was handed over but the pair grabbed a bag of sweets the man was carrying before he managed to run away.
The victim lost a tooth and is believed to have a broken nose following the assault.
One of the men is described as white, about 6ft tall and stocky. He appeared to have a light-coloured moustache and was wearing a blue hooded top with the hood up.
The other man was slim, around 5ft 8ins tall and in a dark hooded top with the hood up.
■ Anyone with information about either of the incidents, or anyone who recognises the description of the offenders, is asked to contact Lowestoft CID by dialling 101.
