The man who was found dead in a north Norfolk stream has been named as missing man Anthony Howard.
Mr Howard, 49, from the Cromer area, was reported missing on July 19.
His body was discovered in the Scarrow Beck area, between Erpingham and Calthorpe near Aylsham, by a fisherman at around 8.30pm on Sunday.
Firefighters from Aylsham and police officers, including a Crime Scene Investigation van, arrived at the scene first where it remained yesterday morning and afternoon.
Five firefighters from the Carrow Techinical Rescue Unit were at the scene yesterday morning and left just before noon after the body was removed from the water at about 11.30am.
The stream, which is about two feet deep, is near two houses and a ford but is surrounded by fields.
A Norfolk police spokesman confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious and the police cordon was lifted at 2.20pm yesterday.
The case has been passed onto the Norfolk coroner and Mr Howard’s next of kin has been informed.
