A man has died after the car he was driving collided with a parked car in Great Yarmouth.

The local man, aged in his 40s, was driving a silver Fiat Punto which hit a blue Vauxhall Vectra parked in Southgates Road.

It happened at around 12.40pm yesterday (Monday).

Norfolk police have now confirmed that the driver was taken to the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston where he sadly died.

No other person was involved in the collision.

Officers want to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, particularly anyone who may have assisted at the scene in its initial stages, or anyone who saw the manner of driving of the Punto beforehand.
