A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape after an incident in Lakenheath.

The man was taken into custody last night, August 4, after an allegation of sexual assault against a woman in the car park of the WoknRock Chinese restaurant in Mill Road.

The incident is alleged to have taken placed between 1am and 1.30am on Sunday.

The man is currently being questioned, according to Suffolk Police.

Detectives are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward. Calls should be made to Bury St Edmunds CID on 101, quoting reference MH/14/1248.
