The collision happened just before 4.30pm on the B1110 Fulmodeston Road at Wood Norton, near Dereham, which has blocked the road in both directions.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance took the man to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, according to an East of England Ambulance Service spokesman.

She added the casualty was unconscious with head injuries but he has been “stabilised”.

Three other people involved in the crash received less serious injuries but it is not yet known if they were taken to hospital.

The B1110 between Brush Hill and Rectory Road is currently closed.

Firefighters from Fakenham and Reepham, a land ambulance, police and two rapid response vehicles were also called.

The fire crews also had to deal with a fuel leak from the crash.
