A man in his 20s was rushed to hospital last night after flipping his car onto its roof after an accident on the A148.

The Norfolk Constabulary confirmed that they shut the road off at Bodham whilst dealing with the incident, which saw a Peugeot 106 flipped over.

The incident took place at around 6pm last night, with the police reaching the scene by 6.10pm.

The road was reopened at around 8.45pm, with the East of England Ambulance Service on hand to take the man to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

It is thought that the man did not sustain any major injuries.

The East of England Ambulance service said: “At the scene an ambulance crew assessed a man for minor injuries to his head and hand.

“His condition is not believed to be life-threatening or serious.”

The Norfolk Fire and Rescue service also sent two crews, one from Sheringham and another from Holt.

An eyewitness said: “The car was upside down in a field beside the road, it was so traumatic to see!”
