A man in his late 20s has been taken to hospital after a car went into a ditch in Colney.

Paramedics were called to the accident on Hethersett Lane at 10.09am.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said the man suffered neck pain, and had been taken to the Norwich and Norwich University Hospital, although his injuries were believed to be minor.

The car, believed to be a blue Ford Focus, was the only vehicle involved in the accident, and police said one lane of the road was blocked.

One crew of firefighters from Earlham was called to the scene, but they were only required to keep the scene and the vehicle safe, and were stood down at 10.25am, six minutes after arriving.
