A small fire broke out in a engine room of a training ship moored at Lowestoft harbour this morning.

The fire on the Smit Spey was reported at 5.29am and saw four fire engines from Lowestoft and a command and support appliance from Beccles called out after an extinguisher on the 97 tonne vessel had been used.

The situation was under control by 6.50am.
