The Lord Mayor of Norwich, David Fullman, and the Sheriff of Norwich, David Walker, donned their hi-vis jackets and hard hats to help lay bricks at a new retirement development.
The visiting dignitaries joined Dave Stackwood, McCarthy and Stone site manager, on the site of the forthcoming Coralie Court and Daisy Hill Court developments.
They viewed plans and took tours of the sites on Westfield View, Eaton. Daisy Hill Court will house 60 retirement living apartments for people over 70 and 42 retirement apartments for over people over 60.
Mr Fullman, said: “Living independently and securely is so important and with an ageing population, it is reassuring to see developments like this emerging within the constituency, which will help local residents maintain their lifestyle with ease.
“It was a pleasure to visit the new Eaton development.”
