Most fathers and sons have a hobby they share. Some go to the football together, others may play cards or do jigsaw puzzles.
However, there can't be too many that have the same shared hobby as Gilbert and Robert Grimm of Broome, near Bungay.
For more than a decade, the Grimms have built and battled robots, competing in fights up and down the country.
They also made a number of appearances on television spectacular Robot Wars, first appearing in the fourth series in 2000, in the show's heyday.
Now, the two Mr Grimms will once again appear on the rebooted BBC Two spectacle, along with their latest fearsome creation - Iron Awe Six.
Robert Grimm, a 43-year-old data analyst, said: 'We were inspired by the original Robot Wars, which we used to watch together. I used to say to me dad that we would be able to build better ones, so we thought we'd have a go.'
Gilbert Grimm, 68, used his expertise as a maintenance engineer and electrician to bring their beastly bots to life, and by the fourth series of the show they were ready to compete.
Next weekend, their latest Robot Wars adventure will be broadcast, which they filmed in Glasgow earlier this year.
Gilbert Grimm said; 'Filming was a very enjoyable experience, however we also greatly enjoy taking part in live shows and competitions across they country. The two aspects are dependent on one another - one could not exist without the other.
'I can't say too much about how we got on, but over the years Matilda is the house robot that has caused us the most problems. Sir Killalot is a pussycat!'
To date the pair have made around 10 robots together, with previous model - Iron Awe Five - bringing home the UK Championships in 2008.
Iron Awe Six weighs almost 110kg and built from a hard grade of steel, attacking competitors with a heavy duty flipper, powered by a carbon dioxide cylinder.
Robert Grimm said: 'The biggest challenge is reliability and keeping the robots in working order - they certainly take more than their fair share of punishment in the arena.'
Gilbert Grimm added: 'It's definitely not a cheap hobby and we are always on the lookout for sponsors.'
The episode is on at 8pm on BBC Two on Sunday, November 12.
