A bright shade of yellow was the new black at a town's quirky celebration.
Wymondham's Lemon Day drew dozens of visitors to the North Wymondham Community Centre on Saturday. Youngsters aged up to eight from the Slow Theatre Company performed a series of sketches called 'Lemon Vignettes', and Wymondham Ukulele Group also performed.
Tony Vale, community centre volunteer, said the performance turned into a 'community sing-along' as group member John Beckett debuted a new ditty called The Lemon Day Song.
Mr Vale said about £250 was raised towards the centre's re-roofing fund, which included the proceeds of a raffle run by the Co-op Food Store in the town centre. There were also craft stalls and refreshments on offer.
Mr Vale said: 'We had people from across the generations and celebrated different kinds of art and culture, which is what Lemon Day is all about.'
