A diminutive village’s big history has been revealed in a book by a couple with a passion for the past.

Dudley and Rachael Stammers’ Little Book of Larling tells the village’s story from the Iron Age to the present day.

The book has been a hit with readers after it first went on sale at the Larling Flower Festival, held earlier this summer.

Mr Stammers said the book is a whistle-stop tour through the village’s history.

“It’s not an in-depth book but is supposed to be a light-hearted look at the village’s past.

“It seems to have gone down really well with people and we’ve been very pleased with the reaction,” he said.

500 copies of the book have been published, with around two thirds having been sold already.

Anyone who wants a copy can buy one from Larling Church, the Larling Angel, Harling Church, and Harling Post Office.
