Many people might class themselves as dog-lovers - but Tracy Hughes really is the animal's best friend.
The Larling resident first started helping at Dogs Trust Snetterton five years ago after visiting with a neighbour who was adopting a Border Collie called Molly from the charity's rehoming centre.
Since that day, the hairdresser has volunteered every week, devoting as much time as she can to looking after the dogs – walking them, helping to feed them and cleaning out the kennels.
And now she has clocked up a remarkable 660 hours of volunteering - making her a 'true credit' to the charity's volunteering team.
'There's nothing better on a wet day than muddy paws and a happily worn-out hound,' she said.
'I love going on walks around the rehoming centre – it's the highlight of my day.
'I love all aspects of helping at Dogs Trust - even the cleaning!
'The team is really friendly and, most importantly, I love the dogs - particularly the large, bouncy dogs with characters as big as their bodies.'
Whatever the weather, Mrs Hughes takes the active dogs that particularly enjoy physical recreation on walks.
In particular she loves Boxers, describing them as the 'bounciest breed of all with such beautiful, lovable cheeks'.
Diane McLelland-Taylor, Dogs Trust Snetterton Rehoming Centre manager, said: 'Without the incredible dedication from volunteers such as Tracy, our work couldn't continue.
'They work relentlessly, regardless of the weather - from housekeeping through to laundry and walking the dogs.
'Happy to walk any dog we offer her and always up for a challenge, Tracy is a true credit to our volunteering team here at the rehoming centre.
'We'd like to thank and congratulate Tracy for her continued support – and we look forward to many more years to come.'
