FIREFIGHTERS from Lowestoft quickly dealt with a kitchen blaze at a home in Kirkley.
Two crews from Lowestoft were called to Kirkley Gardens about 11.26am this morning (Tuesday) following reports of a house fire.
A brigade spokesman said: “Crews arrived on scene to find a fire in the kitchen of a domestic premises. The fire was extinguished by two firefighters in breathing apparatus using one hose reel.”
Lowestoft police were called to the scene by the fire service at about 11.33am, but no-one was reported as being inside the home and no offences had taken place.
The fire crews quickly dealt with the blaze and were back at their stations just after noon.
Nearly 3,000 people have supported a Facebook campaign demanding safety improvements on the A47 near Dereham set up after the latest fatal crash.
