Stories of Lynn to end Spring Talks with a look back at town’s first female mayor

A talk looking back at the life of a town’s first female mayor will be hosted by the current mayor of West Norfolk.
Stories of Lynn’s Spring Talks programme will end on Tuesday, April 24 with The First and Latest Female Mayors, hosted by mayor Carol Bower and Stories of Lynn’s learning and engagement officer Rachael Williams.
The talk will explore the life of Florence Ada Coxon, who became the first female mayor of King’s Lynn in 1925, with Mrs Bower reflecting on her experience of being mayor in 2018 as she comes to the end of her tenure.
The talk will feature a wealth of photographs and information recently shared by the family of Florence Ada Coxon.
The talk takes place at 6.30pm until 7.30pm at King’s Lynn Town Hall, with tickets available on the door for £2.50.
