Linda Allen, 58, of Coulton Close, King’s Lynn, is accused of having twice obtained property by deception and twice attempted to obtain exemption from liability by deception.

It is alleged Allen was living with a partner between September 2001 and December 2010 when she is said to have claimed £37,396 income support and £43,300 council tax and housing benefit.

The 58-year-old has not entered a plea to any of the charges and appeared at King’s Lynn Magistrates’ Court today for her case to be sent to Norwich Crown Court.

Allen was released on unconditional bail and told to attend the crown court on October 10.
