King’s Lynn pub closes early after 40 are asked to leave the premises

Police were called to Chicago’s, in King’s Lynn’s Norfolk Street, after reports of a disturbance.

Officers arrived on the scene to find the group of around 40 men, who had been asked to leave the bar.

Chicago’s voluntarily shut down at 1am on Saturday. The bar is usually open until 3am.

Police say that no arrests were made and no injuries were reported.

A spokesman for Chicago Leisure, which iowns the venue, said: “Following an incident at Chicago’s Kings Lynn on Friday night we took the decision that it was in the best interests of our guests to close the venue a bit early.

“We did this with the support of the local police who know that the safety of our guests and team members is of paramount importance to us.”
