Fried chicken lovers are once again able to get their finger lickin’ fix after a fast-food branch reopened.

KFC’s store on Marine Parade in Lowestoft was forced to close its doors after the company experienced ‘teething problems’ with new delivery partner DHL.

In what has been widely dubbed as the ‘KFC Crisis’ on social media, hundreds of branches across the UK and Ireland have been left without their customary supply of chicken in recent days.

Some restaurants remained open but operated with a limited menu.

However, stores have been gradually been reopening as the week progressed and normal service has now been resumed in Lowestoft.

Amid claims that staff members won’t be paid for the time they weren’t able to work, KFC announced that ‘salaried employees will be paid as normal’, adding ‘hourly-paid team members will be paid based on the average hours they’ve worked over the last 12 weeks.’
