A teenager who is well-known for his bold hairstyles will be losing his bright blonde hair for a children’s cancer charity.
Norwich City College student Joshua Brightwell, 17, from Acorn Way, Dereham, hopes to raise more than £200 for CLIC Sargent by having his hair shaved off.
Brian Cuddihy, owner of Dads and Lads barbers in Glencoe Court, Dereham, will be doing the headshave fundraiser tomorrow at 4pm.
Joshua, who formerly attended Northgate High School in Dereham, said: “I wanted to do it to give something back to CLIC Sargent.”
It will be the first time he has raised money for the charity but hopes to raise more by doing a group skydive at Beccles Heliport on March 9 next year.
He added: “Everyone knows me for having colourful hair. My friends think I’m crazy. It is a bit daunting but I won’t feel too sad about it because it is doing something for other people, It is exciting.”
