Stars including Devon Malcolm and Gordon Greenidge could be among the players when Cromer take on the Lashings World XI at their Overstrand Road home on August 11 2013.

The contract to stage the match has recently been signed, and corporate tickets are now available.

Cromer committee member Michael Clarke said: “After six months of planning, it is happening. We are looking forward to promoting the match and bringing something special to the Norton Warnes ground and to Norfolk, as this will be the first time Lashings have visited the county.”

He added: “We think the tickets could make ideal Christmas presents, birthday presents or have potential for a family party.”

Corporate tickets - priced at £50, or £55 to be on a table with one of the international players who plays for Lashings - entitle the holder to a three-course lunch at 12 noon in a marquee at The Grove guesthouse and restaurant on Overstrand Road.

The lunch includes entertainment by the internationals, including auctions. The tickets also pay for a reserved seat at the ground to watch the match, which starts at 2.30pm, plus tea. Group tickets are priced at £500 for a table of 10 or £500 for a nine-strong party on a table with a cricket star.

Lashings XI is a touring team that travels the world playing matches that raise money through silent auctions and other fundraisers.

Although the line-up cannot yet be confirmed, recent Lashings teams have included Malcolm, Greenidge, Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq, England all-rounder Phil DeFreitas and Australian all-rounder Ian Harvey. Pitchside commentary could be provided by Test Match Special commentator Henry Blofeld.
