Two people were rescued from a burning house in Pelican Close, Ipswich.

The fire service received multiple calls about the house fire at around 9.10pm.

Initially, two appliances from Princes Street were mobilised followed by a third appliance from Ipswich East when a subsequent call stated that there were people trapped within the building.

The first appliances were in attendance at around 9.20pm.

The crews confirmed that everyone were accounted for and all appliances were back at base by 10.28pm.
