The inquest has opened into the death of a 77-year-old woman who died following a crash in Ingoldisthorpe.

Irene Curran, a widow who lived in Brent Avenue, Snettisham, died following a three-vehicle-crash on the B1440 Lynn Road, in Ingoldisthorpe, on December 30.

Mrs Curran was driving a Suzuki Ignis which was involved in a collision with another car, and as a result of that collision Mrs Curran’s car then collided head-on with another vehicle which was travelling in the opposite direction.

A post mortem examination was conducted by Dr William Landells who has stated the cause of death was multiple injuries.

The inquest was adjourned on Wednesday pending a police investigation.
