Inquest opens into death of 27-year-old woman killed in crash at Thetford

The inquest has been opened into the death of a 27-year-old woman who died following a crash on the B1107 at Thetford.

Kristina Mickeviciute, from Lithuania and who was living in Warren Close, Brandon, is thought to have been walking home along the B1107 on January 4 when she was hit by a car near Thetford Golf Club. Paramedics attended the incident but Ms Mickeviciute died at the scene. A post mortem examination has been carried out by Dr Geoff Waters who stated the cause of death was multiple injuries including transection of spinal cord and fracture of skull. The inquest was adjourned on Wednesday pending a police investigation.
